Donald Trump is a fraud. If you look at a timeline of his successes they were during his father’s lifetime or soon after his death. His father set him up with a huge fortune and a team of advisors who made him look good until they died or abandoned him.

On his own, Trump was captain of some spectacular business failures. He cheated people who worked for him. He lies , cheats and steals constantly and loves it when people imply that he has a secret, genius plan. What genius plan ruins everyone that forms the workforce? So far unemployment is up, prices are up, and people are suffering while the stock market is in trouble.

And it has always been obvious!

Trump is a fat, loud, bully who doesn’t comprehend cause and effect. Look at the hair, the ridiculous oversized jacket and long tie and the spray tan. It is all ridiculous but the Donald doesn’t realize it. I am pretty sure that the reports of his genius are ridiculous too. They were bought and paid for.

So please. Stop trying to make something out of Trump. He is a guy with money.Period.

Actually he’s a guy with other people’s money. Mainly yours, mine and the long string of his bankruptcies.

I have to agree with much you have said. I’m not sure if his real estate success was due only to his father; I have to point out that Ivanna was very involved in his business in a management role & in early 1990, she was locked out of her office at the Plaza Hotel followed by their separation. Note that dRump already had a history of not paying contractors or subcontractors, just as his father did. His first bankruptcy occurred in 1991. His father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 1993 & died in 1999.

So basically you’re saying without Ivanna and daddy telling him what to do he can’t keep a business going.

Thanks for that interesting information. I did oversimplify. But I still don’t think he is clever. Because most of his big ideas are most likely coming from another source then he reinterprets them and the results are evident. He thought we could cure Covid by injecting Bleach and deliberately looked at the sun during an eclipse.

They’ve been doing it for decades. It’s not going away overnight💔but I’ll be happy to see ANY wins until that day!

Poem (and more)

"Enough!" (Poem by "Public Servant")

Beneath the Capitol’s grand dome,

Where voices rise and battles roam,

One man stood firm, his conscience clear,

A champion’s heart, a pioneer."Enough!" he cried with righteous fire,

Against the forces of deceit and liar.

No silent complicity would he bear,

While truth was trampled, justice rare. With words like shields and truth his sword,

He spoke for those too long ignored.

The sacred right to cast a vote,

For every voice, for every note.Through weary hours, he held the floor,

A sentinel at freedom’s door.

No filibuster born of spite,

But one to keep the flame alight. For democracy is fragile, dear,

And thieves of rights draw ever near.

Yet Booker stood—unbowed, unbroken—

A vow of justice boldly spoken. So history will mark this fight,

When darkness loomed, he brought the light.

A senator with courage true,

Who dared to do what none would do.For in his stand, we hear the call:

Democracy must never fall.*********************************Yes, a great day for the Dems, and let's underline this: " Booker’s speech “may change the course of political history” in that it gave Democrats hope and “a reason to fight.” [Frank Luntz, Republican pollster]  The leaderless Dem Party now has a leader--where no other stood up before and fought for 25 hours straight, making his name mean Fighter, Solidarity,  and Good Trouble, all at the same time

Senator Booker inspires us. The voters of Wisconsin represent the will of the voters: None of us voted for Musk, but now a lot of us have voted against him. And we the people will rise up Saturday. No do-overs, but we certainly are finding what we can DO. And we are doing that. Thank you for your part!

Cringe worthy isn't the word for it. That video is historically awful! Worst I've ever seen and I've seen some doozies. The Dems should play that clip at the beginning of their next national convention. I wonder if the boo's will outmatch the scornful and incredulous laughter. There are sayings about albatrosses and petards. The Dems should use that video for both uses.

Encouraging, yes, and we still have the aftermath of the tariff announcement to look forward to this week. Yet, I can't shake the feeling that the Insurrection Act and Martial Law will be officially placed on the table, soon. They will pull out all the stops to attempt to force us to comply. Trumpworld is operating in a different reality from the rest of us, as are their hardcore cult members.

This is the beginning of the autocratic down fall, I hope. I’ve been saying for a while that if we can save our democracy and Constitution, we must do what some European countries did after WWII. We must put specific safeguards into our Constitution that will clearly and definitively keep autocrats coming anywhere close to taking over our Country ever again. We should have done the same thing, but we thought we’d never see the likes of Trump or anyone like him in our Country. Now, we know better.

So, once we get rid of this unbelievable sinister clown show with which we are dealing, let’s do the right thing and make sure, very explicitly, that autocracy is never an option again for us.
